Doprovázen sonickým třeskem přetlakovaných trubek, rozehrátých na 196° BPM, vystartuje v úterý 27. června v půl osmé večer J.J. Big Band na magnetické vlně swingu z náplavky směrem k Orionu. Tam nechá zaznít úvodní téma Star Wars, aby se vzápětí ponořil až na dno úvah o tom, How Deep Is Your Love. Během dalších okamžiků udeří do slunečními větry ošlehaného trupu lodi Tajemství kosmická smršť funku o předpokládané síle 105 dB, která s sebou přinese i zásadní změnu mikroklimatu na palubě. Teplota vyletí prudce vzhůru a zorničky se rozšíří při pohledu na to, jak s i pět saxofonů s beztížnou lehkostí pohrává se supertěžkými materiály dovezenými během poslední mise astronautů, kteří si familiérně říkají Big Phat Band. Následovat bude extraterestriální prožitek se skladbami autorů, kteří na Zemi buďto působí (Jan Karez, Bruno Mars) a nebo se rozhodli k návratu na rodné planety (Ray Charles, Michael Jackson). Před finálním přiblížením na přistání bude třeba naposledy volat Houston… Whitney Houston a pak už trombony naplno otevřou wasserklapky, aby zpomalily sestup k základně na Výtoni.

V minulosti JJBB přivedl na palubu některé VIP pasažéry, jako Kaiu Brown, Ondřeje Rumla, nebo Dashu. Letošními hosty budou: elegantní hudební žonglér – vynikající francouzský jazzový a soulový zpěvák a skladatel Hermes Karel, který na lodi zazpívá s bigbandem vůbec poprvé a stálice českých a moravských muzikálových představení a skvělý učitel rockového zpěvu Karel Korsa. No a pokud se podaří navázat spojení, zazní v podání Věry Špinarové píseň, která doposud nezazněla…

Accompanied by the sonic boom of over-pressurized trumpets warmed up to 196° BPM, J.J. Big Band will start off the night of Tuesday, June 27 at 7:30 p.m. on a magnetic wave of swing from the embankment heading for Orion. There they will render the sounds of the opening theme to Star Wars, only to suddenly dive to the depths of reflection of just How Deep Is Your Love. Moments later, a cosmic whirlwind of funk will come crashing into the solar wind-worn hull of the flag ship Tajemstvi at an estimated strength of 105 dB, ushering in a crucial change to the microclimate on deck. The temperature will soar and the pupils will dilate at the sight of how five saxophones with weightless ease play with super-heavy materials brought in during the latest mission of astronauts who familiarly call themselves the Big Phat Band. Then follows an extraterrestrial experience with compositions by artists who either work here on planet Earth (Jan Karez, Bruno Mars), or who have decided to j ourney back to the planets of their birth (Ray Charles, Michael Jackson). Before the final approach to land, it will be necessary to call Houston one last time… Whitney Houston. Then the trombones open their spit valves wide to slow the decent back to base at Výtoň. In the past, JJBB has led certain VIP passengers on deck including Kaia Brown, Ondřej Ruml and Dasha, and this year one can surely expect a similar boarding to occur.

This year’s guest stars will be: an elegant musical juggler – outstanding French jazz/soul singer and composer Hermes Karel who will join the big band for the first time on the boat and the Czech musical performer and well known teacher of rock singing Karel Korsa. Well, if a connection will be successfully established, Vera Spinarova will sing a song that has not yet been heard …
